数量・程度が少ないことを表す単語
下の表をもとに、可算名詞、不可算名詞のどちらを伴うのか確認しておきましょう。
a few は可算名詞、a little は不可算名詞を伴って「少しある」という肯定的な意味合いになりますが、few そして little は「ほとんどない」という否定的な意味合いになります。
その数量などを肯定的に捉えるか否定的に捉えるかは話者の心理によって異なるため、明確な基準があるわけではありません。
